Meet The Creative

Sarah McVeigh is a passionate writer and editor who lives in the North West of England.
She spent most of her childhood reading fantasy books about wizards, hobbits, shadowhunters and vampires. Now in her adulthood, when she's not reading or watching fantasy, she's in search of it within the great outdoors. Spending most weekends crunching and squelching through forests and over mountains, entertaining her daughter and feeding both of their imaginations with wild and wicked stories of the natural world around them.

Sarah gains most of her creativity through nature. You'll find her writings rely heavily on the beauty and imperfections of the natural world and the elements.

As an editor, though she is well rounded, Sarah prefers to focus on developmental edits, though she does offer a flat rate for any size of proof reading, and has an eye for picking out those pesky misspelled words and rouge punctuations. She loves nothing more than to work with a client and their potential filled manuscript, nurturing both the writer and their work, until they're left with a book that can be devoured by readers.
Sarah will work on plot pace, character arc, plot holes, inconsistencies and errors; she knows first hand what a dedicated editor can do for a manuscript.
Having been through the editing process herself, Sarah is aware of how having your work critiqued can leave a writer feeling exposed and vulnerable. As well as offering a thorough developmental edit, Sarah will endeavor to make sure the writer knows exactly what she loves about their manuscript, as well as making suggestions on how to elevate it.
